results

One of the best things I learned from being the lead designer, art director, or whatever you call my position these days, was the amount of growth I gained as a creative leader while working with a great team. I learned many things about the real world experience of what it's like to be the sole creator and initiator of a long term project. I learned how to impliment my personal design ques into a project in a way that creates a story for the audience that not only satisfied me not just as a creator, but as a fan of my own work (sounds conceited but I genuinely love what I do). I think there is a clear escalation in the quality of my work shown in this project. As for results pertinent to the OpTic Gaming organization, I was able to create artwork that companies such as Oakley, Wingstop, Razer, Cordaroy's, and many more were excited to attach their names to in sponsorship deals and represent our organization. Furthermore, our posts were some of the best performing engagement wise across the league by a large margin. One of the greatest experiences I had throughout this whole process came at the end when I met up with one of our event coordinators, and we were reveling in how the event turned out. He told me "We appreciate you so much for making the event look as good as we wanted it to". That really hit home for me becuase as much as I enjoyed making work that just satisfies me, being able to create work that represented the hard work of my peers at that organization was more satisfying than any poster I could make for myself.
