Bio
One day a kid from Seattle opened Photoshop for a mixed media class in high school and thought, "Wow, this is really cool! I think I’d like to turn this into a career." Now, I owe five figures in college debt and have developed a critical caffeine addiction. Although I am a comedian at heart and don’t want to limit myself in this portfolio, I am completely capable of being a serious professional. #Promise.
As someone who was not born with an innate "artistic eye", my skills have developed through effort and dedication. I have learned to see things that others might overlook, and to create things that others might find challenging. None of what I do comes naturally to me, and I use that to my advantage.
I remind myself that what I know I have earned it, and what I don't know I have no doubt that it can be learned. I don't get to rest on the laurels of "natural born talent" in being a creative, because all of that natural born talent was funneled into sports knowledge.

Envy Gaming

Envy Gaming was my first job fresh out of college. This is where I learned what its like to be a coworker, an employee, and how to be truly responsible with real world applications for what I spent way too much money learning at college. I had a boss at this point, so it was an easy transition to see how ins and outs of the buisness world felt without fully having to find out on my own.

OpTic Gaming

OpTic Gaming was technically still my first job, as my original employer, Envy Gaming, and this organization merged together. This is where the amount of eyes on my work multiplied by 10 fold overnight. OpTic (Its part of the heritage to capitalize the T, don't ask me why because I never learned) was a much more popular brand, and at this point I no longer had a true art director, so I had extra responsibility as a creative at OpTic Gaming.

OpTic Texas

OpTic Texas is the name of the Call of Duty team my organization owned and ran in the Esports league known as the Call of Duty League (CDL for short). OpTic Texas was a bit of a sub-responsibility that I took into my own hands in 2023, and ran the entire team from top to bottom when it came to the branding, the social media presence, in-game assets, and experiential styling for when we hosted our Home Majors (International Tournament). This was as close to "Senior Level" or "Art Director" you could possibly be without having the official title. I still give it to myself because the workload justifies it.

Side Work
)
Freelance

Throughout my career I have also done side work here and there to challenge myself and break my rhythms / routines. I do this for a number of factors, money being a massive one, but also to artificially overload my plate to feel that pressure of having to balance more things than I normally do. (I would obviously not do this irresponsibly ever, and it always worked out.)
